Opticron's Marine-3 7x50 Binoculars feature enlarged porro prisms and anti-reflective multi-coatings, which maximizes field of view, cross-field resolution, as well as low light performance. They are nitrogen gas filled, waterproof, and protected from knocks and bumps with specially mounted prism assemblies and a strong die-cast aluminum body with thick rubber armoring. They are very durable, but also quite large. You probably don't want to lug these around all day on a hike, but they're superb when size and weight aren't an issue such as at your helm. Marine-3's have individual eyepiece focusing which means they have a large depth of focus. Once your eyepieces are set to your eyes the need to focus is generally eliminated for everything over ~50yds, so you can just pick them up and go. The Opticron Marine-3 Binocular is covered by their Premier Limited Lifetime Warranty. In the case of accidental damage or defects attributable to faulty parts Opticron will assume responsibility for the full costs of repair up to 5 years from the date of purchase.
